The All-ACC Baseball Team was announced Monday, and the list included seven Yellow Jackets. That list was as follows:
Tech's trio of first-teamers was a critical part of the Jackets' success this season. Gonzalez is the NCAA's active leader in hits with 287, including 78 this season for a team-high .368 average. Johnson is hitting .340 with 11 home runs and 51 RBI this season. English is hitting .309 with three home runs and 31 RBI in just his freshman season.
Brandon Gold was Tech's most reliable weekend starter this season, going 7-3 with a 2.55 ERA in 14 starts. And on the back end, closer Matthew Gorst finished the year with a 0.49 ERA and 11 saves.
Connor Justus, a.k.a. #BigPlayCJ, was a force for the Yellow Jackets this season. Justus hit .340 with 14 doubles, three triples, six home runs, and 36 RBI.
Joey Bart, named to the All-Fresman Team alongside Tristin English, hit .299 with 26 RBI in 39 starts behind the plate this season.
Tech takes on the Boston College Eagles in the first round of the ACC Baseball Championship Tuesday,with the winner advancing to pool play.
