Tech fans already knew the legend that was Adam Smith, but the rest of the country was introduced to him tonight, as he took home the NCAA 3-point championship!
In the first round of the competition, Smith scored 17 points (out of a possible 30), a solid performance that moved him on to the next round, but what turned out to be just a warmup for him. In the second round, he stole the show, scoring 26 points to lead all scorers and move onto the final. Facing Indiana's Yogi Ferrell in the final, Smith scored 23 points compared to Ferrell's 16 to take home the title.

It's unclear exactly what the future holds for Smith, given his size, but it's hard to believe his shooting won't at least earn him a shot at the next level. It was a pleasure watching Adam all season and it was fun to see him put on one more final show for Jacket fans!
