GAMETHREAD: ACC Tournament Round 3 Georgia Tech vs. Virginia

After last night, most Yellow Jackets fans are probably happy just to be in this game, but the team cannot be complacent facing the best team they have played all year.  In their only match-up this season, Georgia Tech stunned the Cavaliers at home and this game remains Georgia Tech's best win of the season. Virginia was in a bit of a slump at the time, but they have turned it around and are now fighting to be a number one seed in the tournament.

Virginia pairs a very stingy defense with an efficient offense.  They rebound extremely well which is huge against a Yellow Jacket team that lives off offensive rebounds.  Their struggle to rebound in the first game contributed greatly to their loss.

Virginia is playing for an ACC championship after narrowly missing the regular season title.  They also have a number one seed in the NCAA tournament on the line.  The Yellow Jackets are playing for their slim hopes at the NCAA tournament, or a top seed in the NIT and home court advantage if they do not make the tournament.

This game is taking place at 7 pm and will be broadcast on ESPN.  Virginia is favored by 10 points and KenPom has Virginia by 9.  Go Jackets!!
