The Yellow Jackets are peaking at the perfect time and tonight, they head to Louisville in what is most likely the biggest game in Brian Gregory's Georgia Tech tenure. Tech currently sits at 17-12 and they've revived NCAA tournament hopes that seemed ludicrous a month ago. The Jackets still have plenty of work in front of them, but it all starts with tonight's game.

When the Cardinals visited Atlanta in January, the Jackets held a seven point halftime lead and were right in the game down the stretch. With one minute to go and the game tied up, Marcus Georges-Hunt fouled out on a borderline call and the Cardinals ended up winning by four.
Louisville is a good team offensively, but an excellent team defensively, allowing 61.2 points per game, ranked 7th in the country. The Cardinals score 76.6 points per game, ranked 95th in the country.
The majority of the offensive burden falls on Louisville's two grad transfers, Damion Lee and Trey Lewis who average 16.3 and 11.7 points per game respectively. Sophomores Chinanu Onuaku and Quentin Snider both average a hair under 10 points per game and Onuaku leads the Cardinals in rebounding at 8.6 per game. Rounding out the starting lineup is sophomore Jaylen Johnson, who averages 5.1 points per game.
Donovan Mitchell is an electric freshman to watch for off the bench. He comes into the game averaging 7.5 points per game and can unleash a highlight reel dunk at any moment. Last time the Jackets faced the Cardinals, Anas Mahmoud put up a career high 15 points, but he is out for the rest of the season.
