Jackets Fall Flat on Rocky Top

Georgia Tech was not able to score enough to hang with the Vols.

Well, that was bad.

The Yellow Jackets had their worst performance of the season on Saturday, falling 81-58 to Tennessee.

Tech shot just 32.7% from the field - 26.2% from inside the arc - and committed 19 turnovers. On 36 first half possessions, Tech managed only seven baskets. An undersized Tennessee team outscored Tech 36-16 in the paint.

Quinton Stephens led the Jackets with 15 points on 6-13 FG. Ben Lammers had his fifth double-double of the year with 10 points and 14 rebounds.

Hopefully Josh Pastner’s team can learn from their worst performance of the young season and improve through the rest of the non-conference schedule.

Tech travels to take on VCU on Wednesday.
