Bowl Projections Extravaganza Week 7

That’s right. It’s time.

NCAA Football: Georgia Southern at Georgia Tech Adam Hagy-USA TODAY Sports

As we’ve passed the halfway point of the season, we’re going to be doing a new weekly series featuring everyone’s favorite thing - bowl projections. That’s right, all your Tech bowl projections will be compiled here every week. Let’s go.

SB Nation - St. Petersburg Bowl vs Cincinnati

This is an interesting matchup. The Jackets and Bearcats have never met, either in the regular season or a bowl game. But this year’s Cincinnati team is not like the dangerous Bearcats of the past. The downside to this one is playing at the less-than-ideal Tropicana Field the day after Christmas.

Marshall beat UConn in last year’s St. Petersburg Bowl.

CBS Sports - Military Bowl vs Memphis

Georgia Tech and Memphis have met three times before, in 1979, ‘80 and ‘81, with Tech winning two of the three matchups. The Tigers have a solid offense led by former Tennessee quarterback Riley Ferguson, and this could be a fun matchup. Although, Annapolis, Md. isn’t exactly a great place for a bowl trip in December.

Navy beat Pitt in last year’s game.

Campus Insiders - Quick Lane Bowl vs Indiana

Christmas in Detroit could be fun, I suppose. And this would be another game with an opponent the Yellow Jackets have never faced.

Last year’s Quick Lane Bowl featured a Minnesota win over Central Michigan.

ESPN - Independence Bowl (No opponent listed)

Shreveport!!!

We’ll have more bowl projections next week.
