No. 7 North Carolina Tarheels vs. Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets: How to Watch, Preview, Gamethread and More!

Come join us as the Yellow Jackets (10-3) start ACC play in Chapel Hill against the No. 7 UNC Tarheels (12-2, 1-0 ACC).

Well, now things start to get a little bit more interesting. In out of conference play this year, the Yellow Jackets finished with a fairly impressive 10-3 record (76.9 winning percentage), in spite of two pretty bad losses. Overall, I would say the Jackets performed admirably.

Now, though, the Jackets have to keep that up as they enter into conference play. That's not really something Brian Gregory has been good at at Tech. In his last four seasons, Gregory has gone 36-19 in out of conference play (65.5 winning percentage). He's followed that up with an abysmal 19-51 record (27.1 winning percentage) in conference play.

We're gonna see what the Jackets are made of tonight. The Tarheels didn't exactly blow the world away in their ACC opener over Clemson, but they're still one of the better teams on our schedule, so the Jackets need to take advantage of this game and have a good showing if they want to have a chance to show that they are actually better.

Going into Chapel Hill, the Jackets will be facing what is by far the best offensive team they have faced this season. They come into the game averaging 86.6 points per game and are outscoring opponents by 16.6 points per game.

The Tarheels are led by the senior duo of Brice Johnson and Marcus Paige, who are both averaging at or above 15 points a game. Johnson is one of the best shooters on the team, shooting 63 percent from the floor, with no three-pointers even attempted. He's also the team's best rebounder at 9.6 rebounds per game with over three-quarters of those being defensive rebounds.

Paige is more of an offensive player. He is shooting 50 percent from the floor and has made 18-of-40 from beyond the arc (best percentage on the team at 45 percent). He won't be doing much in terms of rebounds though, as he's averaging just 2.5 rebounds per game.

Joining these two in the starting five will likely be Justin Jackson (13.4 ppg || 51.4 percent shooting || 3.6 assists per game) and Joel Berry II (12.1 ppg || 42.9 percent shooting || 4.4 apg).
