So before I get into this news, I feel as though I should give some background. Back when I was in high school, I didn't really know what I wanted to do, just like most people that age. I was pretty good at math, so I was told to go into Computer Science, so I did. I ended up spending just over a year as a Computer Science major at the University of North Georgia.
Then I had an epiphany. I was part of the way through Calc II and after receiving a 30-something on my first test, realized that math wasn't really my thing. So, I dropped and ended up changing my major. I ended up settling on Journalism after taking two passions of mine (sports and writing) and combining them.
Not too long after that, I started writing for From the Rumble Seat and was even named a co-manager this last November. I've really and truly enjoyed it. But something has changed.
That's right. I did it. I applied to transfer to the University of Georgia and was accepted.
And now, you may want to sit down.
After thinking it over and spending quite a bit of time doing it, I have decided that since I will be finishing out my degree at UGA that I will also become of a fan of the team.
I realize this is a lot to take in. It took a long time to actually finalize this decision as I found at about a week and a half ago, but I think it's the right one to make.
It's tough. I will never stop loving Georgia Tech, but for the next few years, I'll be a Dawg. And as part of that, I will also be taking a leave of absence in writing for From the Rumble Seat since I'll be following the Dawgs much closer now.
Now will I ever come back? We shall see.
And now, for quite possibly the worst news of this all.
April Fools! Sort of, at least. A lot of what I wrote in this is actually true. Everything above the picture is completely true, and I have decided to finish my degree in Journalism at the University of Georgia, but I will never in any shape or form abandon the team that I bleed White and Gold for.
So, I guess I'm a Ramblin' Wreck (not) from Georgia Tech and a helluva Journalist! THWg (the football team at least)!!
