In the Georgia Tech Invite, the Yellow Jackets S&D team had a pretty good showing. The men finished in third place out of 11 teams with a score of 1075.5, while the women finished in fifth place out of 18 teams with a score of 441.5.

On Day 1, the Yellow Jackets' success was mainly due to the 200 freestyle relay team of Noah Harasz, Youssef Hammoud, Edwin Zhao and Robert Borowicz. The team finished in first place in the race. Individually, Yuval Safra (3rd in men's 500 freestyle) and Chiara Ruiu (11th in women's 500 freestyle preliminary).

Day 2 brought more success for the Yellow Jackets. The women's 200 medley relay team (Maddie Pashcal, Florina Ilie, Morgan Lyons and Iris Wang) finished in fifth place with a time of 1:41.25, which beat Georgia Tech's previous record of 1:41.57 set in 2012. For the men, the 800 freestyle relay team of Youssef Hammoud, Dan Cohen Solal, Mats Westergren and Noah Harasz with a time of 6:30.53.

On the final day of the event, Ben Southern had a notable day, finishing in first place in the 200 butterfly final with a time of 1:45.84

The Georgia Tech Swimming & Diving team gets back to action on Dec. 18 with matches against Cincinnati and Florida Atlantic in Naples, Fla.

In the next week, the Lady Jackets have a game against USC Upstate on Dec. 5.
