Technical Tidbits 1/29

In which we are really late putting this out.

Brad Barr-USA TODAY Sports

Ed. Note: Apologies for the lateness of the Tidbits this morning. Totally dropped the ball on it. Don't worry, though, Cade will be back doing these tomorrow.

The ACC Winter Meetings are underway! Among the things expected to be talked about, as pointed out by Andrea Adelson here, are autonomy, television and scheduling. Tech has already shown some interest in taking advantage of the P5 autonomy ruling by pushing for an added stipend for student athletes. Probably the biggest news that will come from these meetings is the ACC schedule for the upcoming season, which is scheduled to be released at 10 a.m.

Heisman talks for quarterback Justin Thomas are beginning to stir again. Jerry Landry, of Rant Sports, writes that Thomas is one of three Heisman-caliber players in the ACC, joining Pitt tailback James Conner and Florida State tailback Dalvin Cook. Landry cites the success of Russell Wilson as an "aggressively mobile quarterback" for Thomas name to garner attention from the media.

Need something to hold you over until the big game on Sunday? Never fear, the Breaking Madden Super Bowl is here. Breaking Madden is one of my favorite features SB Nation puts on. The premise behind it is to literally break the game of Madden. So sit back, get some popcorn and read until you're laughing your head off.

This next one will be a little bit different. Instead of directing y'all toward a specific news article, I'm instead going to point you to FTRS' Facebook page. Back on January 15, the page hit its 3000th like. That's huge! Especially when you consider that we just hit the 1000 fan mark back in September. Congratulations Joey and everybody else who puts so much hard work into this site and the Facebook page!

What do y'all think of Tech's ACC Schedule (which we'll post about when it comes out)? What do Justin Thomas' Heisman chances look like for next season?
