The college football season is moving right along, and so are our Weekend Selections. We will have the results for Week 2 available soon - check back to this article for an update soon!
In the meantime, though, it's time for Week 3 picks! Unfortunately, the only Top-25 matchup this weekend is #6 Todd Gurley u(sic)ga @ #24 South Carolina, but it's bound to be a good game - the line has the dwags as just a three point favorite. However, South Carolina has failed to impress anyone so far this season, in my opinion, so I don't know why the line isn't more in Gurley's favor - or why the Gamecocks are ranked at all. One could contend it has something to do with the conference they're in, but that's a conversation for another day. Anyway, this is a great opportunity for all of the barking that's been building up these past two weeks to be silenced. We can only hope...
Apart from the Top-25 scene, there are several interesting matchups on tap for the ACC Saturday, namely #21 Louisville (-10) at Virginia. UVA was one of the big surprises in week 1, hanging with #7 UCLA for the entire game to ultimately lose 28-20. With another ranked opponent coming to Charlottesville, it could be a close game. #9 Southern Cal also visits Boston College, but this one isn't expected to be nearly as close. Still, it's an 8pm kickoff, so you better believe the atmosphere will be electric in Chestnut Hill.
All picks are due by Saturday at noon, when VT kicks off against East Carolina.
