As soon as people were starting to get excited about the start of the season coming in a few days, what happens? Bad news. Backup B-Back Donovan Wilson has decided that he wanted to transfer from Georgia Tech. I believe he'll likely end up at either a JUCO school or an FCS school.
I'm not going to speculate on his motives for transferring, but with him leaving, this depletes our stable of running backs even more in terms of depth. This decision likely guarantees that incoming freshman B-Back CJ Leggett will not redshirt this season and will likely begin the season at number three on the depth chart behind seniors Zach Laskey and Matt Connors.
The news was first reported by Eric Thompson and his crew over at GTSwarm. I wish the best of luck to you if you're reading the Donovan.
Are we finished with all the bad news yet? Will CJ Leggett move up past Matt Connors by the end of the season?
