Abdoulaye "A.D." Gueye, a power forward from Central Park Christian in Alabama has just recently signed a letter of intent to play for Georgia Tech. His addition comes in the same week as G Josh Heath announces his transfer to Tech from USF, along with high school LOI signees G Tadric Jackson and C Ben Lammers.
This sort of addition is exactly what Georgia Tech needs for the 2014-15 season- more height. The team is losing Kammeon Holsey and Daniel Miller in the post, and adding ECU transfer Robert Sampson. We need large bodies to replace these stars.
A.D. is 6'10", 215 lb. plays the "hybrid 4" position, similar to Robert Carter Jr. He can shoot from all over the court and has the ability to block shots and rebound. He is rated a 2 or 3 Star on most recruitment website (felt like I needed to say that for the occasional reader that cares). He will be working with Carter Jr, Sampson and Lammers in the post next season. This addition also allows for Quinton to move to the perimeter where I think he feels more comfortable. This PF addition is exactly what we needed.
