Yahoo Sports is reporting that Boston College will play host to Georgia Tech in the 2016 Croke Park Classic in Dublin, Ireland.
This will be the third time in five years in which Dublin will host Division 1 College Football. The last time came earlier this season when Penn State and UCF played a game that went right down to the wire there. The time before that came in 2012 when Notre Dame and Navy played in the Emerald Isle Classic in Aviva Stadium.
The date has not yet been set as neither school has confirmed the match-up. If this turns out to be a thing, however, it will be a great opportunity for both teams to visit a historic country.
Since joining the ACC in 2005, Boston College has only played Tech twice. The first came in 2007 when Matt Ryan's Eagles stormed Atlanta and won 24-10. Tech got revenge in Boston the next year, winning 19-16 in Paul Johnson's first season as the head coach.
The Yellow Jackets hold a 4-2 lead in the all time series which began in 1972 with a 42-10 victory for the Jackets.
Georgia Tech is going to Ireland!!! Reactions? Will you be going to the game?
