The Jackets will attempt to get back on track today as they take on Pittsburgh at Heinz Field, which is also the home of the Steelers. Tech desperately needs a win if it still wants a shot at the ACC Coastal Division title.
Last year's GT-Pitt game was a very entertaining game, with the Jackets winning 21-10. Something tells me we are going to see a lot more points this year. Pittsburgh has a stud at running back named James Conner. Conner already has 959 yards on the ground and averages 137 a game. However, it is worth noting he hasn't had a 100 yard game in over a month. Still, he is definitely among the ACC's top running backs. The Jackets will need to dial up some pressure and get into the backfield early and often in order to disrupt Conner.
The Jackets will be without backfield workhorse Zach Laskey and OL Chris Griffin. Synjyn Days will be starting at B-back, with Matt Connors (Conner vs Connors anyone?) backing him up. It is also a possibility that we will see CJ Leggett for the first time today.
Pitt is missing two second string DL in Luke Maclean and Tyrique Jarrett, LB Zach Poker, and starting center Artie Rowell.
