The Jackets attempt to right the ship tonight vs. the Tarheels in a key Coastal division matchup. A win will allow the Jackets to remain technically tied for first place in the Coastal, but the 6-1 (2-1) Duke Blue Devils will own the tiebreaker.
Interestingly enough, the odds line has moved today, pushing the Heels to a 2-point favorite. I'm not sure what happened, but UNC is now favored (it was previously an even matchup/straight pick). The Jackets have won their last five against UNC, and last seven road trips to the state of North Carolina.
Injury Report
Both Justin Thomas and DeAndre Smelter have been cleared to play in tonight's game. Starting LT Bryan Chamberlain is also expected to play, but TCU-transfer Eason Fromayan showed last week that he is a capable backup should Chamberlain re-aggravate his leg injury.
UNC has two key players listed as doubtful, RB Elijah Hood (their starter) and WR Kendrick Singleton (also a starter).
Tonight is a huge game for Georgia Tech in the race for the ACC Coastal! Go Jackets!
