Jason Morris out "indefinitely" with injured foot

This brings our available scholarship player total down to 7....

Mark Dolejs-USA TODAY Sports

Jason Morris joins Robert Carter Jr. and Travis Jorgenson on the injury list due to a broken 5th metatarsal after the loss against UNC earlier this week. Unfortunately, this thins out the Tech roster even more and making the bench a lot more concerning in my opinion.

Jason has been plagued with injuries quite a few times during his Tech career. Jason missed 10 games last season with plantar fasciitis and in October has surgery to fix a stress fracture in his foot which forced him to miss the first 10 games of the season. He also missed two ACC games earlier for a concussion he had after a automobile accident. He is currently contributing with a 2.2 ppg, but it much more valuable than his stats give him credit for.

This loss is very tough for the Jackets and will put even more pressure on the bench. It will be very interesting to see how Gregory rolls with this punch he's been given.

We are still waiting to see if Robert Carter Jr. will be able to see the court before the end of the season, but regardless this news is not good for Tech.
