GAMETHREAD: Georgia Tech Football vs Virginia Tech

New, 97 comments

What some would call Georgia Tech's biggest conference game of the year has arrived, and you'd better believe that Bobby Dodd Stadium will be one giant party tonight.

Every year, we look forward to playing the Virginia Tech Hokies, and each of the last three years we've come up empty. Not this year. This year is different. Georgia Tech isn't yet firing on all cylinders offensively, and yet has scored 70, 35, and 28 points in its three games this year, respectively. The defense is under new management and showing a new attitude, putting them in the top 15 nationally in a number of categories. The special teams aspects are fully functioning for the first time in years. On the other sideline, there's a team that has trouble scoring and is ripe for a downright thumping. Three years ago they ruined Josh Nesbitt, two years ago they ruined the reputation of Jeremiah Attaochu, and last year they ruined us as fans. Newsflash: this year we ruin them. It's time for them to pay the piper for all of the misery they've caused us these past 3 years. Frank Beamer is one of the least favorite coaches in our fanbase (putting it lightly), and our team and coaching staff cannot WAIT to stick it to him tonight.

This is your GameThread. If you're coming to the game, wear white!! If you're unable to be in attendance, bring it on with the comments.

It's game time, Tech fans. Are you ready?
