The biggest recruiting weekend of the summer for the Jackets started off with a bang, as Michael Preddy from Charleston, SC Porter Gaud School committed during his unofficial visit Friday. The 3 Star, 6'5", 260lb lineman is slotted to play on the offensive line for the Jackets, but can play both sides of the ball. He has also been recruited to play Strong Side-DE elsewhere. Running a 4.70 40-yard time, Michael has the explosive power to be a real contributor on either side of the football.

Preddy picked the Jackets over Maryland, Rutgers, and Louisville (who he recently listed as his "favorite"). He will join David Sims as the only other player to be from South Carolina on the Tech roster. This is the Jacket's 4th offensive commit so far, as well as their 4th lineman. This is a great start for a big recruiting weekend for the Jackets!
