Georgia Tech picked up their 11th commitment for the 2014 class with (likely soon the be 3-star) QB prospect Matthew Jordan from Jackson HS in Alabama. Jordan is 6'2" 190, has very good top end speed, and a very nice touch on his throws. He's an athlete that seems tailor-made for our offense, especially if we work more shotgun and passing into the mix. The only knock I can see is that he currently lacks an explosive first-step, however his 40 speed looks to be in the 4.5-4.6 range from his film.
Jordan chose GT primarily over Nebraska, although he holds many offers from non-BCS level conferences. This is another feather in the cap of CMP, who is bringing in a lot of Alabama HS athletes. Though currently ranked as a 2-star, he may be moved to 3-star based on his camp performances and more accessibility to his film. He is also the 3rd offensive commit for this class...though we should see more this month with some OL recruits. Tech will likely take one more QB in this class.
