Georgia Tech just picked up their 10th commitment for the 2014 class, and third this week from Lamar County HS (Griffin, GA), with 3-star ATH prospect Qua Searcy. Qua (prononuced 'Quay') Searcy is 5'11" 165, very fast and fluid, and will begin his Tech career as a WR (though he could also play Safety or CB). He visited Tech quickly after his HS teammates, Lance and Lawrence Austin, committed to GT on Monday...and followed suit with his commitment today.
Searcy chose GT over recent offers from Clemson, South Carolina, Louisville, NC State, Michigan State, Wake Forest, and Wisconsin. He is the second commit on the offensive side of the ball (after ATH Trey Klock, who likely project at OT).
Last recruiting class we signed three Griffins (Chris, Corey, and Ty). This class we might sign three student-athletes FROM Griffin.
