Georgia Tech picked up their 3rd commit of the 2014 class today from prospect Jalen Johnson of Oneonta, AL. He's listed as an 'Athlete' at 6'2" 196 and could project at WR, but will be recruited to play at the Safety position.
Recruit: Jalen Johnson
High School: Oneonta High School, Oneonta, AL
Height: 6'2"
Weight: 196 lbs
Position: WR (could also play DB)
Recruiter: Mike Pelton
Currently listed as a 2-star by Rivals, GT offered him early and other major offers haven't followed yet. From his film he's got a great burst, either carrying the ball or shooting the gap for a tackle, and looks like he can grow into his frame. Johnson represents the first pickup for new DL coach Mike Pelton, a veteran of recruiting Alabama from his time at Troy and Auburn. CMP knows what he's doing, and don't be surprised if poachers try to nab Jalen in January.
