The Detail: Malcolm Buggs is a football player...a LB in a CB´s body. When you look at his film, his athleticism jumps off the screen as he displays his natural instincts at safety, his terrific leaping ability, and his terrific hands. Up at the LOS, he takes great angles, fights off the blocker well, and is a fearless tackler. His height is not prototypical of a safety, and has to be the only reason he´s not a ranked player. It will be interesting to see how he develops his ability to shift his hips and cover receivers, since CB might be where his size plays. At the worst, he looks to be a lock as an ace special teamer.

Tech's Chances: Very good, and perhaps very close. He recently visited Georgia Tech for the March 9 Junior Day, and GT was his first offer (this is very important). He is also receiving attention from Oregon State, Vandy (surprise!), and Auburn. He´s a CTR type of player, that´s for sure.
