Technical Tidbits 02/14/2013: In Which Baseball Is Upon Us

Today's tidbits cover college baseball, the exciting world of NCAA rules, and a certain actuarial nightmare.

USA TODAY Sports

A starting note before we begin: I was not on the radio last night as some of you may have realized, because there was a lot of content (beesball interviews) to get through and not a lot of time to do it, so they had to cut my witticisms out. I know you're disappointed, but I'll be back next week. They put together a good show, which you can find if you click on these words.

NCAA rules committee made recommendations today to change CFB rules, including "targeting" rules and other important directives. The NCAA: because the refs clearly need MORE discretionary bullshit rules to misinterpret.

Aaron Fitt of Baseball America has us hosting a regional this season. See the rest of his postseason breakdown here.
