Technical Tidbits 02/14/2013: In Which Baseball Is Upon Us

Today's tidbits cover college baseball, the exciting world of NCAA rules, and a certain actuarial nightmare.

A starting note before we begin: I was not on the radio last night as some of you may have realized, because there was a lot of content (beesball interviews) to get through and not a lot of time to do it, so they had to cut my witticisms out. I know you're disappointed, but I'll be back next week. They put together a good show, which you can find if you click on these words.

NCAA rules committee made recommendations today to change CFB rules, including "targeting" rules and other important directives. The NCAA: because the refs clearly need MORE discretionary bullshit rules to misinterpret.

Aaron Fitt of Baseball America has us hosting a regional this season. See the rest of his postseason breakdown here.

In case you didn't visit the site yesterday, Corn Elder surprised everyone and decided to take his talents to South Beach.

Looks like Miami might not be too big a worry this ACC baseball season, because games against them might now count. Someone cheating? In Miami? Noooooooo I DON'T BELIEVE THAT

Jadeveon Clowney has not a bad idea, but I'm sure the NCAA will somehow make a violation out of it if Carolina does anything of consequence this season.

Rivalries are great. We need students to start prank wars like this again between us and Dwag. First suggestion: spray paint "Mark Richt has lost control of [building name]" above all buildings on dwag campus. Got a better one? I want to hear about it in the comments.

We are all Yellow Jackets, IV. You know the deal.
