42 Days Til' Kickoff!!
The Recruitment Update is on vacation this week due to a low amount of news in that department, save for Shamire Devine's quote about his disinterest in anyone not named Georgia Tech, and the update from 4-star DL Jay Woods that says we're still very much in the running for him. Therefore, I'm gonna give you some more links to check out on this Monday morning.
Before I get started, I want to make a request: If anyone has a topic they can think of that they want to see discussed here on FTRS that we have yet to get to, please say so down in the comments section or email it to me at fromtherumbleseat [at] gmail [dot] com. I'm running out of ideas for content (worst blogger ever, I know) and would love just a little bit of help in making it to the season preview articles.
It is, of course, the ACC's Football Kickoff this weekend up in Greensboro, NC. The festivities began yesterday and conclude today. Here are a few features from that:
- Really neat article about Jeremiah Attaochu's new friend....let's just say their friendship started out with a BANG.
- Here's a video discussion with Tevin Washington concerning this season's goals and some of his thoughts on receivers and other topics of discussion.
- Some more Q&A with Tevin Washington from Rivals.com.
- Our D-Line's looking impressive coming into the fall, according to Jeremiah Attaochu.
- Check out the Facebook page for a great picture of all of the player attendees in Greensboro.
Hopefully we'll see a little more news from the conference tomorrow. In the meantime, here's a few other things you may find interesting:
- John Swafford has lots of confidence in Al Golden's program...at least compared to Randy Shannon's.
- An absolute pleasure to read, this article basically tells the NCAA's Sanctions Committee how straight-up full of shit they are. It really irritates me how inconsistent they are with their "time matching the crime".
- An interesting take on the Penn State situation. (Note: If you want to discuss that case here, I can write up an article, but after consulting with my co-writers here we decided that we've all probably seen/heard enough about it by now.)
- Quite off-topic here, but this made me happy to see.
That's all for now. Penn State sanctions are released at 9am EST. Other than that, have a great day everyone!
