First of all, let's not forget that the Georgia Tech basketball team will play its final regular season game tomorrow at 12pm vs. the Wake Forest Demon Deacons at Philips Arena. It will be senior night. There are two seniors on the roster in Nick Foreman and Derek Craig. Thanks for the work you put in guys.
Second, Georgia Tech baseball hosts the Rutgers Scarlet Knights in a three-game weekend series at Russ Chandler Stadium. The Yellow Jackets are off to a pretty good start to the baseball season and are ranked #12 in the country. Let's see them keep it up.
Thirdly, here's something cool. Georgia Tech will be hosting the 2012 Guthman Musical Instrument Competition. Music Technology and Georgia Tech. We shouldn't be surprised that the Institute is hosting something Wired.com calls "the X Prize of Music."
Finally, Do any of you run the Pi Mile race? Registration is (has) been open and if you have never run it, I suggest you sign up and make it your newest "thing". The 5k Pi Mile is a lot of fun if you're a serious runner or just want to run it for the sake of Georgia Tech. This year will be my second year participating and I plan to continue it for as long as I can.
Speaking of running, I'm on my way to south Jawja (Albany) for a half marathon where it's expected to be an 80% chance of thunderstorms. Won't that be fun?
Go Jackets!
