Take Your Pick: The ACC, Week 6 - Express Edition

Kim Klement-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

Naturally, as a procrastinator, I waited way too long to write this article while I have other things to do, and will only be giving in-depth explanations for our game and per request.

Georgia Tech (+10) at Clemson

After last week's performance, this might be a bit of a generously small spread. However, in a rivalry game where the players are coming off an embarrassing performance and want to prove themselves, you know what? I'll take Tech to cover...but I think Clemson wins straight up. This is Clemson's year to beat us. They beat us at home in 2010 when we looked like garbage, and should beat us again at home -- though I don't think we play as bad of a game this time around.

Boston College (-8.5) at Army

Army's 0-4, including a most recent loss to Stony Brook. I'll be SHOCKED if BC can't cover here.

Virginia Tech (+1.5) at UNC

A little confused as to how VT is the underdog here. I'll take them to beat the spread and win straight up.

Virginia (+1) at Duke

This is quite the toss up. Give me Duke to cover at home.

Wake Forest (+4.5) at Maryland

See previous analysis. I'll take Maryland to cover at home.

Miami (+11.5) at Notre Dame

Miami's a lot better than they'll be given credit for. I'll take them to cover a huge spread, but I'll take Notre Dame straight up.

Florida State (-13.5) at NC State

This is the biggest spread of the week in the ACC, and Florida State is anything but intimidated. Take them to cover.

There are my picks, readers. Who you got this week?
