Georgia Tech 74 Wake Forest 39: Jackets Begin Winning Ways Against Demon Deacons

If the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets hadn't scored in the 2nd half, they still would have won by five points. Tech cleaned up last night against the last place Wake Forest Demon Deacons. But hey, when you desperately need wins might as well beat up the worst team in the league.

"My freshman year we lost a lot of games, and no one felt sorry for us...I don't feel sorry for them."

-Iman Shumpert

The 35-point win marks the largest margin of victory in an ACC game for Georgia Tech. The Glen Rice Jr - Iman Shumpert combo continued their scoring ways as the duo dropped a total of 41 points on the Deacs (21-Rice, 20-Shumpert) while no other player scored higher than 8 points.

The defeat is nothing new to Wake Forest who has lost all four of their ACC games by an average of 26 points. The Jackets out rebounded, outshot, and blatantly outperformed the Deacons from every angle.

The Yellow Jackets will take their two-game winning streak to Charlottesville to play the Virginia Cavaliers on January 22nd at 12pm where they will put their win streak to the test on the road.
