Updates on Tech's recent Draftees

I think the consensus steal of the Draft was Jonathan Dwyer. Dwyer has picked up jersey #41 for the Steelers and is looking at some serious opportunities for PT behind Rashard Mendenhall.

Derrick Morgan's playing career has taken him from Coatesville to Atlanta to Nashville. The former Tech lineman was drafted to bring a stronger presence in the Titans pass rush. Titans' line coach Jim Washburn has a history of turning Draft Picks in to Pro Bowlers (Jevon Kearse 2000-2002, Gary Walker 2002, Kevin Carter 2003, Kyle Vanden Bosch 2006/2008/2010, & Albert Haynesworth 2008-2009). Morgan's new number is #96.

In Wisconsin, Morgan Burnett is competing against veteran Atari Bigby for a starting safety spot. Packer backers believe Burnett to be the more talented safety but Bigby has experience with Dom Capers on his side. Burnett will be wearing #42.

Rookies Demaryius Thomas and Eric Decker are still out with injuries for the Broncos. Bay Bay isn't expected to return until later in May while Decker may be out until training camp. The trade that Denver made relieving themselves of Jay Cutler looks more and more genius by the day. Thomas is gonna be wearing #88 in Denver.

Like my buddy Steve from Buffalo, Cord Howard is reliving 2002-2007. Howard signed a free agent contract with the Bills.
