Tech and Miami have faced three common opponents this season: Clemson, UNC, and UVA. Unfortunately for the Jackets, Miami has performed much better statistically in these three games than the Jackets. Here is a quick look at the net differences between yards and points allowed (pink = bad, green = good):
Even as an offense-first squad, Tech has struggled in 2010. Clemson is a notable example of our season's woes. Therefore, it's no surprise to see that some of our offensive outputs are sub-Miami rates particularly in scoring.
The good fact is that the games are lined up in those two charts chronologically and Miami has begun to wilt as we predicted in early August. I'm hoping Tech's backup can take down the Miami backup this weekend. Any thoughts on the matchup?
