Sophomore G Chris Bolden will be suspended for the first three games of the 2013-2014 season, the Tech athletic department announced today. He will also be suspended for a preseason exhibition game. This suspension includes Tech's games against Presbyterian and Delaware State at home, and will extend to include the game against UGA in Athens on November 15. This suspension announced today is being handed down for a "violation of team rules." Bolden was arrested for DUI in August, which is likely the source of this penalty. Coach Brian Gregory said "We expect the young men in our program to meet certain standards, and there has to be accountability when those standards are not met." Bolden is one of four returning starters for Tech, after averaging 7.3 points in 31 games as a freshman last year.
What do you think of the suspension, fans? Too harsh? Not Harsh enough?
