With college spring games having wrapped up and high school spring practices in full effect, we find ourselves in the thick of the spring recruiting season. Tech coaches have been hot on the trail recently, offering scholarships to players across the state and country. The Jackets' current emphasis seems to be in the trenches, with offers mostly going to offensive and defensive linemen.
OL Demetris Harris, Jacksonville, FL, 6'3", 283 pounds
Last week, Tech offered three-star 2017 OL Demetris Harris from Jacksonville, Fla. The Jackets are currently Harris's only Power 5 offer, but he appears to be a mobile lineman that can pull and block in space, traits obviously critical in Paul Johnson's offense.

DE Xavier Thomas, Florence, SC, 6'3", 240 pounds
On the defensive side of the ball, 2018 DE Xavier Thomas out of Florence, S.C. recently received an offer from the Yellow Jackets. Thomas is an explosive defensive end already with 16 offers, including those from Alabama, Ohio State, and Tennessee among others. Thomas is one of only four five-star recruits currently in the 2018 class.

DE Aliki Vimahi, Kahuku, HI, 6'3", 236 pounds
Perhaps the most interesting of Georgia Tech's most recent offers, though, is 2017 three-star DE Aliki Vimahi from Kahuku, Hawaii. While I don't pretend to know anything about Hawaii high school football, Vimahi is the #1 ranked player in the state. However, he currently only holds three other offers, though they are to respectable programs in Colorado, BYU, and Oregon State.
Excited to say I've received an offer from Georgia Tech! #GoJackets pic.twitter.com/hQlZCYibFm

QB Dakereon Joyner, North Charleston, SC, 6'1", 170 pounds
In the way of skill position players, the Jackets have offered 2018 four-star QB Dakereon Joyner out of South Carolina. Joyner is a true dual-threat quarterback, having amassed 3,202 passing yards along with 1,058 rushing yards and 52 touchdowns as a sophomore en route to a perfect season and state championship.
