Cross Country
The Georgia Tech Cross Country team traveled to Nashville this past weekend to take part in the Vanderbilt Commodore Classic. The Men's team finished fourth in the 8K race, scoring 129 points. The team was led by strong performances from seniors Brandon Lasater and Jeremy Greenwald (15th and 19th places, respectively). Overall, the Yellow Jackets had seven runners finish in the top 50.
On the Women's side, the team finished in tenth place in the 5K race, scoring 308. They were led by Melissa Fairey and Hayley Keadey (60th and 65th).
The teams' next event comes October 3 as they continue their season in Spartanburg, South Carolina to take part in the Upstate Invitational. You can check out the full results here: Men's and Women's.

Women's Volleyball
In their final non-conference match of the season, the Lady Jackets took on Kennesaw State and fell 3-1. In the first set, the Lady Owls took an early lead before Tech went on a 10-2 run. The Lady Jackets could not maintain the momentum as Kennesaw went on to win 25-23.
In the second set, the Jackets took what momentum they still had and took the set 25-16. The Lady Jackets would be unable to get much going the rest of the night, falling in the last two sets by final scores of 25-19 and 25-23.
The Lady Jackets start conference play on the road as they travel to Clemson to play the Lady Tigers on Friday night at 7 p.m.

Men's Golf
The Men's Golf had the week off, but gets back to action this weekend to take part in DICK'S Sporting Goods Collegiate Challenge at the Golf Club of Tennessee in Franklin Springs.
Men's Tennis
The Men's Tennis team had the week off as well and also gets back to action this weekend. They will be hosting the Georgia Tech Invitational at the Ken Byers Tennis Complex in Atlanta.
Women's Tennis
The Women's Tennis team took part in two different events this past weekend. In the Duke Bonk Invite, sophomore Johnnise Renaud (second seed) won the consolation finals match in the Black bracket over Virginia's Maci Esptein. Sophomore Paige Hourigan lost in the White bracket consolation finals match to North Carolina's Jessie Aney.
At the Miami Invite, sophomore Alexis Porkopuik lost in the Green Draw Finals to Fernanda Contreras. Junior Rasheeda McAdoo won the consolation finals match in the Orange Draw while junior Alexa Anton-Ohlmeyer took third place.
The Lady Jackets' next event is the Riviera/ITA Women's All-American tournament in Los Angeles. Senior Kendal Woodard and sophomore Paige Hourigan were selected to compete in the main doubles draw. Hourigan will also compete in the qualifying singles round. Sophomore Johnnise Renaud will act as an alternate for the singles and will participate in pre-qualifying singles round.

Women's Basketball
Women's Basketball isn't starting quite yet, but one player on the team will be starting a little early. Junior forward Elo Edeferioka will be joining the Nigerian Senior National Team as they take part in the Afrobasket in Cameroun, Africa. The tournament starts on Thursday, and if Edeferioka and the Nigerian team wins, they will qualify for the Olympics.

The Softball team gets their season started this weekend with a doubleheader against Emory. The first game will be Saturday at 1 p.m. with the second immediately following it at 3 p.m.
