I just watched the 2000 Clemson game on ESPN Classic

and have some random thoughts:

I have grown accustomed to those CG lines on the field. My ability to judge field position on TV has atrophied.

Ted Roof's defense, with the exception of a play or two, stuffed Rich Rodriguez's spread offense. This game was just weeks before Rodriguez took the head coaching job at West Virginia.

All those passes from Tech were a bit jarring. I still miss Ralph and wish Maryland hadn't hired him. If they hadn't I doubt O'Leary would have had time to take in him Notre Dame, and he probably would have become Tech's head coach. And maybe still would be. Imagine Calvin Johnson in his offense. Just imagine.
