Over/Under 20 Points Scored by Duke
Actual Number: 14
As many folks predicted, Duke was unable to get much going on offense. They had a lot of success on their second drive, and from there only managed 7 more points. It was a solid afternoon for the Georgia Tech defense.

Over/Under +1.5 Turnover Margin for Georgia Tech
Actual Number: -1
After a ten-quarter stretch that saw the Tech defense force 7 turnovers, Tech failed to record a single turnover against the Blue Devils. Part of the reason is that Duke only ran 62 offensive plays as compared to Tech's 76, but overall they did well at protecting the ball. Meanwhile, Vad Lee threw an interception in early in the second quarter on a deep pass that was intercepted inside the 5-yard line. It was an abnormally mistake-free game for both teams.

Over/Under 1.5 40+-Yard Touchdown Plays
Actual Number: 0
This game was more about methodical drives for the Yellow Jackets than explosive plays. Vad Lee had 4 TD passes, none longer than his 24 yard connection with DeAndre Smelter. Tech's offense did actually record a 40-yard play in the form of Robbie Godhigh's first-quarter 44 yard carry, although he was tackled inside the 5 yard line so that doesn't count as a scoring play. An unusually slow day for the Tech offense in the explosive plays department was actually a bit reassuring in that they can get it done in more than one way.

Over/Under 2.5 Sacks by Georgia Tech's Defense
Actual Number: 2
This ended up being a very close line in terms of the actual result. The Jackets ended up with only 2 sacks, one from Adam Gotsis and the other from the duo of Jabari Hunt-Days and Christopher Crenshaw. Outside of those, both Gotsis and Hunt-Days added a second TFL, and that was all for the Tech defense. It seemed like an oddly quiet afternoon for the defense, not creating or allowing big plays. Duke ran the ball 34 times and passed it another 28, and so it was surprising that of that distribution of plays we were only able to come up with 4 plays for negative yardage. I can't really say that was very confidence-inspiring for me going forward.

Over/Under 3.5 Passing/Rushing TD's for Vad Lee
Actual Number: 5 (4 Passing, 1 Rushing)
This performance appears to have surprised a lot of folks -- only 8 of 22 entrants got this one right. Lee came out and made a lot of good plays when need be, especially when throwing the ball in the red zone. He's found a new favorite target in DeAndre Smelter, and had TD passes to his previous favorite Robbie Godhigh as well as Zach "The White Stallion" Laskey. It was truly a great homecoming for #2.

Spread: Georgia Tech -9
Result: Georgia Tech covers (by 15 points)
This actually had a 100% accuracy rate among entrants, although I should make you aware that I did not come up with this line myself. Somehow Vegas thought that a 9-point spread would be enticing for Duke fans, and they just ended up giving away a lot of free money.

Weekly Shout-Outs: A big shout-out goes to Dive Keep and Pitch, who went a perfect 6-0 this week on picks. He's our season leader at 11-1. If you need betting advice, ask him. Another shout-out goes to PeterInVA, the only entrant to not make at least 3 correct picks. Luckily he's being buoyed in the season standings by his participation last week. We all love an underdog story though, right?
