Georgia Tech Football Ticket Stubs - Games in North Carolina

Stay connected for news and updates

Hey guys,

I’ve grown up a Georgia Tech fan my entire life. I come from a big-time Tech family dating back to the early 1900’s when my great grandfather played baseball for one season at the institute. Later on, my grandfather would quarterback the freshman team during the 1928 season before having to leave school during the Depression. My father and older brother also attended Tech, and I myself graduated undergrad in 2006 and graduate school in 2007.

I started attending Tech football games in the early 90’s during the Bill Lewis era, but truly began attending every home game during the 1998 season. Since then, I’ve saved my ticket stub from every Tech football game that I’ve attended (109 games since ’98).

In December of 2011, I decided to start collecting Tech football tickets from all seasons. Since then I’ve amassed a collection of ticket stubs and press passes to 640 different Tech games dating back to 1921. The collection in all contains over 1,000 tickets if you include the duplicates. Some other interesting stats:

  • The collection contains at least one ticket from every season dating back to 1927, and all but three seasons dating back to 1920 (1920, 1922, and 1926)
  • The collection contains a ticket all but six Georgia Tech vs. Georgia games dating back to 1925 (1955, 1943, 1935, 1934, 1930, and 1926 are missing)
  • The collection contains at least one ticket from every game where Paul Johnson has served as head coach

Right now I’ve got all but 35 tickets dating back to the start of the 1980 season. Of the 35 that I’m missing, 26 are from games played in the state of North Carolina. These games would have been at Wake Forest, at Duke, at NC State, and at UNC. If anyone has any of these tickets that they’re willing to sell, trade, or donate, please shoot me an e-mail at brad@georgiatechticketstubs.com. If anyone that donates tickets wishes to have their name referenced, let me know and I will be glad to do so below the image of the full ticket.

There are also many other tickets that I need outside of North Carolina. The entire want list can be found at the link below:

You can also view the collection by season at the link below:

If you view the most recent, or the older game stubs (between 1925 and 1960) you will see game summaries, statistics, and videos (where available). The plan is to write a brief synopsis for every ticket in the collection.

If you don’t any tickets available, then please enjoy the collection and pass the site along to anyone that you feel might find it interesting.

GO JACKETS AND TO HELL WITH GEORGIA!!!

Brad
