Tech on Twitter: What's Up in Cyberspace

He's upset he just lost his ping pong match. - Rob Carr

Welcome to our weekly roundup of Tech on Twitter, where we examine tweets from GT-associated people (but mostly GT sports people).

A new weekly feature, Tech on Twitter (you could call it T.O.T., but all I can think of when I hear that is this) explores what's going on in the world of Georgia Tech sports on Twitter. It's a wacky place, filled largely with football players cheesing on each other and news and photos relevant to all our interets. You can check out the introductory piece that's along the same lines here. So, you ask, what's up in cyberspace? Let's find out.

I reported in the Tidbits this morning that the team is leaning hard into spring workouts, and they're not shy about advertising it:

Looks like the team is working hard and they might actually be enjoying it. Elsewhere, the coaches are hard at work recruiting, and Graduate Assistant Preston Pehrson continues to push northern players hard to get them to come to Tech with his hashtag "The Migration." He's connecting with the kids largely through the creation of memes about how the north sucks/is cold and Georgia Tech doesn't/is not. Some are funny:

and some...could use some work:

Then again, the latter got more shares and favorites than the former, so what do I know?

Just because the coaches are all on Twitter now doesn't mean they're always talking about work. Defensive G.A. Maurice Duncan had some fun in the weight room yesterday:

and Coach Johnson did something we've never, ever, ever expected him to do: smile and play ping pong at the same time.

That about sums it up, but join us next Tuesday afternoon when we once again explore...T.O.T.

What about you, intrepid reader? Which coach's antics/info have you enjoyed most in the web-o-sphere so far? Do you want to see more? If you do, you can follow me right here and Joey right over here!
