Technical Tidbits 03/11/13: In Which Phil Wheeler Reminisces

Phil Wheeler sure has changed. - Kirby Lee-US PRESSWIRE

Today's Tidbits cover freshman photos, spring workouts, and the ACC Tournament.

In case you didn't see yesterday's fanpost with the 2013 ACC Tournament bracket, here it is. Tech is seeded ninth and opens tournament play Thursday at high noon against the eighth-seeded Eagles of Boston College.

Phillip Wheeler was rooting through his old stuff this morning, and came upon his buzzcard:

Just for comparison's sake, that's him last spring in the headliner photo of this post. What a change!

The football team's got a few tests tomorrow:

Good to see Coach Sisk (strength & conditioning coach) isn't wasting any time and getting our boys in shape for spring.

Another baseball score you'll like from the weekend (scroll down to the bottom). I was going to link to a certain school's athletic site, but at the top of every page is this awful-looking "G" and I didn't want to subject my good readers to that sort of thing.

Tom Crean (Indiana basketball coach) is kind of a crappy sport. The part that seals that opinion to me is this incident occurred after a win. Calm down, coach.

ESPN has a two-part Q&A with UNC coach Larry Fedora (part I; part II). I think UNC would've been better this year all things equal, but I think there's just too much negativity around the program for them to make a considerable jump this year.
