After the 1929 Rose Bowl, Tech player Stumpy Thomason was given a bear as a gift while in California. This silent Fox Movietone clip shows Stumpy and his bear walking down North Ave., entering the Tech Tower, sitting on the front steps of the Tower and walking around the front lawn. Many scenes will be recognizable by Tech alum and fans.
