Nigel Bowden visited the Flats with his mother on Friday, and over the course of his visit was offered a scholarship and committed. He'd been committed to Vanderbilt since March, but at the time he said the only other school he'd be interested in was Georgia Tech. At the same time, today he mentioned he likely never would have committed to Vandy in the first place had Coach Johnson been there when he visited campus (Johnson made the classy, respectable move of attending the funeral of Jamal Golden's mother).
