Iman Shumpert went down without contact in last night's game against the Heat with a torn ACL. The success rate for ACL repairs has improved a lot in recent years, but this is just about the worst injury a player who depends on quickness can suffer. The good news is Iman has a guaranteed contract for this year and next. Beyond that the Knicks hold the option for an extension. I hope he can spend time at GT getting those final credits toward his degree. I also hope he has not squandered his big salary from his initial contract.
