Super Bowl Open Thread

New York Giants at New England Patriots, Feb 5, 2012 6:30 PM EST

Let your Super Bowl thoughts out in this super duper Super Bowlpen Thread! My rooting interest is for Gary Guyton to rack up 25 tackles and get MVP. Otherwise, who cares?

Not really

but it’s definitely not something that was going on before Wednesday.

Patriots all the way because . . .

Al Groh and Bill Belichick have a lot in common beyond just being good friends.

They worked together for years building great teams, learned strategy from each other, share the same philosophy about football, both are deep thinkers when it come to game preparation, and, for some inexplicable reason, both have lots of irrational haters who are always hoping they lose or get fired.

Can Pats 2nd-ary

handle NY Football Giants through the air?

Is there something wrong...

if I’m finding the Chelsea-Man U rematch more exciting than the Superbowl?

Nailed it!

Took Giants by 3, they won by 4. Sports knowledge (/luck), hell yeah!

Funny thing is that most eveybody took the Giants

I think even NPR had a story about how Vegas was in trouble on this one because they stubbornly refused to make the Giants the favorite and people were betting bundles no matter no matter what point spread they put on it.

I too thought the Giants would win but I was hoping not. A 9 win team winning the Super Bowl reminds me all over again why the “standardization” of the pro game bothers me.
