Georgia Tech fans knew Stephen Hill was fast. Twitter and other football fans on the other hand, didn't know so much about him. Yesterday twitter reacted to Hill's 40 time and it was a range of reactions from surprised to ignorant.

Stephen Hill wears the mantle of Physical Freak Georgia Tech Wide Receiver Who Got Underutilized well.

Good decision by Georgia Tech not to get the ball to Stephen Hill ever.

Two other wide receivers also ran the 40 in 4.36 seconds, Travis Benjamin of Miami and Chris Owusu of Stanford. It is the fastest out of all participants in the combine. As a final point of reference, Calvin Johnson ran the 40 yard dash in 4.35 seconds back in the 2007 Combine (he worked his way down to 4.33 seconds in a private workout later that year).
