For the second straight year, Georgia Tech will be traveling to El Paso, Texas to play in the Sun Bowl. This year's opponent: the preseason-#1 USC Trojans.
Last year, Georgia Tech made the trek out to the far side of Texas (it's a 22-hour drive....source: personal experience....of a friend) to play against the Utah Utes in the 78th Hyundai Sun Bowl. It was a great week for the team, and a very unique experience compared to most bowl games. This year, AB Orwin Smith and the Yellow Jackets will face QB Matt Barkley and the USC Trojans in an attempt to win their first bowl game since the 2004 Champs Sports Bowl.
