Tonight, the Yellow Jackets take on the Alabama St. Hornets. While this sounds like some backyard insect brawl, look for the Yellow Jackets to come out with some serious intensity.
After winning two straight games at home, Brian Gregory looks to lead his team to a third straight home win. The Jackets are undefeated at home, and look to build on this streak.
Players to watch for:
Senior PG Mfon Udofia- Udofia should be well rested after a week off from basketball. The Jackets look to him for leadership, and tonight is nothing different.
Freshman Guard/Forward Marcus Georges-Hunt- Twice this season Marcus has won the ACC Rookie of the Week. His development so far this season has been very influential to the teams success.
Freshman Forward Robert Carter Jr.- After a career high 19 points last game against UNC-W, Robert is hoping to build on this success and help the Jackets, especially in the paint.
Senior C Daniel Miller- Look for Miller to begin to work more on the down low presence for the Jackets.
After underperforming on the boards and in the paint these past few games, the Jackets hope to spark some change. I expect Carter Jr., Miller, and the rest of Tech's post players to dominate tonight. Look for the Jackets to try to feed the ball inside and create opportunities underneath the basket, which in turn will lead to some kick out shots.
