Where's the frickin' game?
ESPhrickiN is blacked out. No TV coverage.
Against the 15th ranked team in the country? SOPA should be applied to Cable TV and ESPhrickN.

Team lacks talent but help is no the way.
This is what I expected of this team this year. However, my hope is that the team will not develop either bad habits or bad attitudes and will create a good atmosphere for grooming that top 20 recruiting class that is coming in.

High point of the game for me was
my wife leaving the couch, returning with a sketch book, and diagramming our offensive scheme options based on our personnel. “Tech girl?” you ask. “Tech woman,” says I.

So you married UP?
At least we don’t have to complain about the captain of the ship this year. I think this will be a top down rebuild.
Facility: Check
Coach: Check
Players: nominal, but needs improvement
I wonder if CBG will bring in the superstar “1 and dones” (Favors), or build with 3 and 4 year starters (see Butler).

Which is better?
I mean, Tech needs the kind of talent that can match the best of the ACC, but we also need them to stay in school. I think at Dayton CBG’s kids graduated more often than they jumped to the league, didn’t they? Imagine a guy who could convince a Favors-type player to stick it out another year before jumping. We have Carter coming in next year. Is he the type that could be 1 and done?

I've always wondered if it was the players convincing each other to stay.
See: Florida back to back Natl Champs, and several of those guys were 1st round NBA material who decided to come back for a repeat.
How do you get around all that NBA money luring guys out. CPH agreed with my question at an alumni meeting that the NBA rule change a few years ago to let just about anyone in would hurt ACC level basketball.
I wonder if an “all or nothing” rule would work?
Apply for the NBA as a HS Senior, if you are drafted, you hire an agent then take your chances with your future. If you are LeBron or Kobe, that’s a great choice. If you don’t like your draft spot, and most NBA teams won’t waste a pick on a non-LeBron level pick, don’t sign with an agent, sign a LOI with a College Team. The NBA team that picked you keeps the right to pick you, and you can sign with them after Freshman, Sophmore, Junior, or Senior year at 1/4th, 1/2, 3/4ths, and full money that your draft pick commands respectively after each of those four years.
I’m trying to think of a way for the NBA and NCAA to NOT compromise a guys future by signing as a HS Senior and breaking down before his talent kicks in (something like Kwame Brown), and the still protect the college game from 1/2 and dones (see: Stephon Marbury).
I know you cannot deny a guy a job for the highest and best use of his talent and the money, but NCAA basketball has become a two tier system talent wise, with NO respect for the scholarship commitment made to a talented player.
