This Fall: The Return of....
Omoregie Uzzi will return to Georgia Tech for his RS-Senior year this fall. Received notification that his draft prospects were likely a late round-to-undrafted area. He'll stay on The Flats this fall, and will continue to contribute to the Jackets' running game for one more year. Awesome news for the Jackets!

Can’t wait till we got some seniors on the line. Would make life a ton easier for whoever ends up lining behind the center!

AJC ran a story about how Dalvin Tomlinson missed his visit to The Cesspool. Two theories seem to abound right now…(1) He’s busy trying to win the state in wrestling and had a scheduling conflict and will reschedule…or…(2) He’s done with his recruiting as it is nearing signing day, and he’s silently committed someplace.
IF he is silently committed someplace he has only told recruiters he had Bama and GT as his frontrunners. We know Bama is out of schollies to give out (unless Saban gets rid of someone else for him), and the only other school he talked about liking was Indiana for its entrepreneurship program. That said, a lot of people expect him to have Tech as a frontrunner right now IF he is not going to reschedule his visit to the pastures of Clarke County. Might be a photo finish or a signing day shocker.

Lots of bad press recently regarding football factories, oversigning, and promises broken. I hope Dalvin understands the rarity nowadays of a coach holding a spot open just for him (I’m sure that spot has a deadline, of course) and meaning it.
Regardless, he lives 90 minutes from Athens, and there’s plenty of time to reschedule I’m sure. Monday, especially during the semester, is an odd time to have your OV anyway. I still thinks he takes an OV there or somewhere else, hopefully to compare it against his Tech offer. He seems to have his priorities in order, and I’m sure he’s taken CPJ’s advice to shop around before committing.

Thinking about the 2012 Schedule Calendar...
Who are the 2 Senior players chosen (like Jason Peters and Roddy Jones in 2011)…Omoregie Uzzi and Julian Burnett? Or does Tevin get the look because he’s a QB? Regardless, I think those 3 are the only returning starters on the team who will be Seniors in 2012.

Reportedly looking at transferring to either USF or UCF. Not positive that this is a done deal but I’m pretty sure he’s out.

Great for Omoregie Uzzi!
Hopefully he’ll improve his draft stock substantially and he’ll be a mid to high round pick in the NFL draft like Philip Wheeler! Then the colts should draft him!
They could use him
They’ve gotten pretty soft on the offensive (and defensive for that matter) line, and could use a road grader.
