Around SBN: Trent Richardson Interviews Fellow Brown Brandon Weeden

"Vad told me that the school is a great school, and that the next four years of my life will be a great experience. Vad is a cool guy, he's like a big brother," Summers said.

Hopefully this puts to rest any rumors or thoughts that Vad may be transferring. Being used to recruit other guys and making comments like this sounds like he's here to stay.

HTML is not something I ever mastered. Nor will I ever, in all likelihood.

Thought HTML

was O-line code for “hold the middle linebacker”

I met her on the campus, sir, cheering the Brave and Bold.

Wow. Take me back a ways, huh. When was the last time you saw a statue of liberty play?

Wait a minute, I think the reason is that teams audible out of it all the time.

Fiesta Bowl

Boise over Oklahoma. Then the player proposes to the Cheerleader.

That sounds vaguely familiar

I get it confused with a fumble-rouskie play that Oklahoma ran (against Miami?) in a bowl game.

That was the '87 Orange Bowl...

Maybe the best college football game I ever saw...

At least in the last 2 minutes, where Oklahoma ran back a pick 6, only to have Boise hit the hook-and-ladder for a TD right before regulation.

Then Boise hit a half-back option pass on 4th down in OT to match OU’s score in OT…and the Statue of Liberty on the 2-point conversion to win it.

I wonder what Oklahoma fans would say was the best game they ever saw?

:-)

It was a darn fine game. I agree. One that I also thought was pretty fine was the Southern Cal versus Texas game for the mythical national championship. Now that is what a mythical national championship game should look like, not this Alabama / LSU tedium and monotony.

I'm sorry sir, but that game has been vacated.

It never happened.

The Heisman was not awarded/vacated that year.

Vince Young was a hit in the NFL.

Reggie Bush didn’t go all Hollywood with a shorty.

Something else that didn’t happen, didn’t happen in 2009….

A small editorial comment

I did not think there was anyone who understood the internet less than me until I started reading what Congress was up to. No wonder we have politicians who talk about the 19th century as if they were the good old days.
