Pulse of the Defense

This upcoming season, several folks are anxious to see the state of Paul Johnson's legendary offense.  While I am looking forward to that aspect of our 2011-2012 season, I'm really more interested in our upcoming defense.  I've always been of a defensive mindset in sports, backed largely by the quote:

If we score, we might win.  But if they never score, we will never lose.

I'm not entirely sure to whom I should attribute that quote, but I remember reading it a while back and... well... it stuck.  I have enough faith and confidence that our offense can put up a good 21 or 24 points on most anyone we come across.  If our defense can stand firm, I think it'd be a REALLY fun season to experience.

For the past few weeks, I've been digging around for some news (hopefully of the good variety) with respect to our Grohfence.

This was an interesting read.

Granted the source makes me shudder, the article is at least of interest.  As always, steer clear of the comments, if any.  Fortunately, there are no comments on this one.  At least there weren't when I viewed it- I'm not sure if that's a function of my limited browsing capabilities on this machine or divine intervention from God, Himself.

If any of you fine folks have recent stories of interest concerning our defense, please feel free to link below in the comments or summarize.
