Iman Shumpert Raises His NBA Draft Stock

Has anyone remembered the NBA Combine, NBA Draft, and Iman Shumpert? If you're like me, probably so. FORTUNATELY, we have a few bloggers who pay lots of attention to the NBA and word on the street is that Iman is turning some heads.  For his preparation for the draft, Iman is working out at IMG Academies. He conducted a quick Q&A session with their internet team.

Iman on ...his 22-point, 12-rebound, 11-assist, 7-steal performance (including holding Malcolm Delaney to 8 points and 8 turnovers) against Virginia Tech:

Before the game, my assistant coach said, ‘You have to show them the way and dominate both sides of the ball.’ The Coliseum had a little different feeling that day. Malcolm, who I know, was talking noise the night before saying he was going to get 40. At one point the crowd started going crazy, and my coach told me the triple-double means nothing if we don’t win. I had no idea I even had it. Malcolm and I were jawing back and forth, but it got quiet at the end. I love watching that tape.

SBNation's and Ridiculous Upside's Scott Schroeder recently wrote on piece on Iman entitled "Athletic Testing Results Prove Iman Shumpert Can Jump" in which it's noted that. ".. Georgia Tech's Shumpert was mentioned as one of the winners during the limited basketball drills and, apparently, he also excelled in the athletic measurements.

We all saw the potential and raw talent that Iman had at Georgia Tech. We hope that IMG helps him hone his talent and skills and can actually increase his stock come June 23.
